Licenses

• Tennessee fishing license — TWRA / Go Outdoors Tennessee. Anglers 13+ need a license, plus the trout supplemental where required.
• North Carolina fishing license — NCWRC, for the GSMNP North Carolina side. A TN or NC license is valid parkwide in the Smokies.

Permits — Special Waters

• Tellico–Citico daily permit — required Mar 1–Aug 15 on the Tellico/Citico system (TWRA).
• Gatlinburg city trout permit — required for the city's stocked water.
• GSMNP — Park it Forward parking tag & backcountry permits. No park fishing permit, but a parking tag is required to park.

• GSMNP fishing regulations — single-hook, artificial-only, park creel/size, closed waters.

Flows & Gauges

• USGS current flows — Tennessee. Each water's specific gauge is on its digital companion (e.g. Little River at Townsend 03497300, Tellico at Tellico Plains 03503000).

TVA Generation — Tailwaters

• TVA recreation release schedules.
• Trout fishing the TVA tailwaters — plus the generation dial-in numbers.

Always read the official schedule or dial line before wading a tailwater — generation can raise the river fast.

Stocking

• TWRA trout stocking schedule & information — as TWRA publishes it.

Camping & Access

• Recreation.gov — Cherokee National Forest (USFS) & NPS campground reservations.
• GSMNP campgrounds & backcountry permits.
